The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education is transforming teaching, learning and research practices. While offering new opportunities, AI adoption also raises complex ethical challenges: academic integrity, bias, plagiarism, transparency and fairness. Work Package 3 (WP3) of EmpowerAI addresses these challenges by developing and delivering a Seminar Series for Academic Staff. This series equips educators with the knowledge and tools to apply the Ethical Guidelines for AI use in Academia (developed in WP2) in their professional contexts. This deliverable (D3.1) presents the Curriculum for the Seminar Series, structured in three modules. It is intentionally concise and capacity-sensitive, ensuring accessibility across diverse universities while fostering deep ethical reflection. This curriculum also contributes to the broader European agenda on digital transformation in higher education, supporting educators in understanding how to integrate AI tools responsibly into academic workflows. By embedding ethical awareness in everyday academic practices, EmpowerAI ensures that universities not only adopt technological innovations but also uphold the principles of trust, equity, and accountability.
