In September 2025, Dr. Radoslav Deliyski and I had the opportunity to present the EmpowerAI Guidelines for the Ethical Use of AI in Academia in North America— uniting educators, researchers, and students around one shared mission: ensuring responsible and transparent AI adoption in higher education.
Dr. Deliyski presented the guidelines at Lakehead University (Canada).
🇺🇸 Dr. Vladislav Slavov had the pleasure to do the same at Western Carolina University, College of Engineering & Technology at Western Carolina University (USA).
Both sessions fostered meaningful dialogue with academic staff and students about how AI can enhance teaching, learning, and assessment — while preserving academic integrity, equity, and human agency.
